Neoclassical design
Neoclassicism is about the predominance of expensive materials and not the pretentious decor. This style is always relevant and excites the guests of your home. Today we will tell you how to design a house in this style, using examples of our work:
The first thing to think about is the color scheme. This style does not tolerate bright colors, it is characterized by calm shades. It is they who create the proper aesthetics of the house. But the highlight will be gold or bronze details in the decor. Without them, it would be impossible to recognize the style of neoclassicism.

Talk about walls. To make the room space more interesting and emphasize all the important elements of style, you can think about using decorative plaster (matte or glossy). A great option would be a wallpaper with gold or bronze dusting. And of course, the main accent may be the columns and arches.

Neoclassical style ceiling is a space for your imagination. We really like the different moldings (baseboards and cornices). Let’s not forget the importance of light fixtures and chandeliers. After all, they successfully emphasize the aesthetics of the style. In the neoclassical style, you can’t use direct light. A crystal chandelier or other lamps in this style will look organic.

What should be the flooring? Since neoclassicism in the interior is expressed by natural, expensive materials, the best solution would be a parquet of expensive wood. If you want to use another material – ceramic or marble floor will be your find!

What textiles to choose from? Let’s start with the curtains on the windows. Heavy and dense fabrics will add to the costliness of the rooms. You can combine them with the walls or other decor prevailing in the space.

The theme of the decor is your flight of fancy. Remember what the sculptures and busts of past centuries looked like, and with this feeling choose your own apartment décor. The antique style will complement the interior. Don’t forget about antiques. Old bookshelves, candlesticks, figurines, and other interior items are always a good fit!
